Bulungula Lodge Experiences

Something different happens every day. Many of these businesses are still in their infancy and are not always as professional as you would find in the big cities, but everyone puts their heart and soul into their new venture and as a result there is a unique, fresh edge to these activities. All these businesses are 100% owned and run by members of the local community so your money goes where it’s most needed. Prices for the activities range between ZAR 60 – 250 and need to be paid in cash.

FISHING

There are many fish in the sea, let our Guide teach you to catch one.

CANOEING

A picturesque half-day guided trip, paddle up or down the beautiful Xhora River.

HIKING

Choose a local guide or do a non-guided hike along the beautiful Wild Coast.

VILLAGE TOUR

Ease into your stay & our village with a guided tour by the lovely Thabisa.

CULTURAL TOUR

Learn with Jabu & be a local woman for a day. All men & kids are welcome!

HERBALIST TOUR

Wander through our ancient forests with our local Traditional Herbalist, Meldinga.

SURFING

Bring along your surf or body boards and thatha iliza (catch a wave).

FULL BODY MASSAGE

Treat your body, mind & spirit to a full body, foot or Indian head massage.

SUNRISE PANCAKES

Watch the beautiful sunrise from the beach while munching freshly made pancakes.

LEARN TO DRUM

These lessons are available daily between 2pm-6pm. Lwando is the best drummer in the land.
